Governance and leadership

The Endowment Fund has been established by the Council of Bishops in 2014. It is governed by a Board of up to 18 members. Of the members, four are from Africa, one from the Philippines, one from Europe, and five from the USA, all elected by the Council of Bishops. In addition, one senior staff from Global Ministries and one from Higher Education and Ministries, named by its general agency are members of the Board. The Board may add to these 13 members up to five additional members for expertise.

The Board is accountable and reports to the Council of Bishops regarding its activities and performance. It is amenable to the General Council on Finance and Administration in the conduct of the financial and administrative responsibilities. All endowments are held and invested with Wespath.
